I watched an old classic movie called Shawshank Redemption (1994). In it we see the stories of many of who are in jail. One of the men Brooks who had been in jail for over 50 years gets released and cannot cope in the free world. HE HAD GOTTEN USED TO BEING IN JAIL! Many children live in such poverty and injustice many live becoming "USED" to it. The journey to freedom actually is too distant and too costly to endure. In Numbers 14 we see the Israelites complaining and planning to return to a life of slavery in Egypt over the life of Freedom and communion with God, WOW! how strange.
